HEATLH AND FITNESS TIPS
A proper healthy lifestyle requires a healthy diet and proper exercising. It’s important to stretch your muscles before and after any vigorous activity, and if you’re in outdoors, apply sunscreen! With that said, we compiled a list of healthy eating and fitness tips for you to incorporate into your daily regime.
Food:
Eat a variety of fruits & vegetables: Your body needs over 40 different nutrients for good health and no single food can supply them all so mix it up with your favorites. A smoothie is a great way to combine all your favorite fruits and veggies.
Base your diet on foods rich in carbohydrates: Carbohydrates are an essential macronutrient providing glucose, used by the body and brain for energy. Most people do not know the difference between good carbs and bad carbs, good carbs provide more fiber, regulates hunger, and used for energy, while bad carbs are high in sugar, usually processed, low in fiber and makes you hungry sooner causing weight gain.
Examples of good carbs are: sweet potato, rice, and quinoa. On the other hand, bad carbs include but are not limited to: soda, white pasta, sugary cereals.
Maintain a healthy body weight and feel good: The weight that is right for you depends on many factors including your gender, height, age, and heredity. Maintaining a healthy BMI for your body type is important, and what may be right for someone may not be best for you. When your body is at its best physically, you feel your best mentally.
Eat regularly and in moderation – Reduce, don’t eliminate foods: If you keep portion sizes reasonable, it’s easier to eat all the foods you enjoy without having to eliminate any. Eating smaller meals more frequently helps boost your metabolism. Skipping meals, especially breakfast, can lead to out-of-control hunger, often resulting in helpless overeating.
Drink plenty of fluids: Numerous studies have shown that drinking water before meals can result in consuming less calories during meals, which can ultimately lead to weight loss. Water provides a sense of fullness, so not as much food is needed to reach the point of satiety. Replacing water for sugary beverages helps with faster digestion and does not get stored as fat, like a sugary soda would.
Balance: Don’t feel guilty about eating the foods you love, rather eat them in moderation and choose other foods to provide the balance and variety that are vital to good health

Be Happy: Be sure to pick an activity you actually enjoy doing.
Get Inspired: Who inspires you? Get a fitness coach or someone who trust to help keep you motivate to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Personal Care:
Sunscreen!: Its not just for summer! Your skin is exposed to both UVA & UVB rays; UVA rays are the ones you don’t see, but penetrate deep into the dermis (the skin’s thickest layer). Unprotected exposure can lead to premature skin aging and wrinkling (photoaging)
Facial Brushes: If you haven’t already, start using a Facial Cleansing Brush! Winter has been harsh to the skin and adding a facial cleansing brush to your beauty routine will repair the skin and prep it for light, breezy spring weather.
Keep your skin hydrated: Hydration is important as it makes for a healthy functioning of the system and gives a boost to a youthful-looking complexion. To help keep your skin in tip-top condition, you should use a moisturizer twice a day as part of your regimen.
Decide what makes you feel confident: Wake up a few minutes early to avoid that “rushed feeling!” Feeling good and prepared for the day ahead helps make you feel better overall.
Get specific: Use products that are formulated for you. If you have drier skin use products specifically made for your skin type. Everyone has their own unique DNA and its important to tailor to your needs.
Be consistent. Let it show.: Being confident, making a routine and keeping fresh, builds confidence. You put the work in, now let it shine through.
