FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. FOUNDATION, ACES FOUNDATION & A’JA WILSON FOUNDATION HOST BACK-TO-SCHOOL EVENT

  The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation, Aces Foundation, and A’Ja Wilson Foundation have joined forces to bring an exciting Back-to-school Giveaway event to the Las Vegas community! This event is designed to provide support and resources to students and schools for the school year that is underway in a fun and interactive environment. In addition to each student receiving a backpack with grade appropriate school supplies and a book, they will also be provided with pizza courtesy of Carmine’s Pizza Kitchen, participate in interactive arts & craft activities provided by the Discover Children’s Museum, and learn the fundamentals of boxing through short tutorials with professional and amateur boxers from the Mayweather Boxing Club. In conjunction with the Back-to-School Giveaway, much needed supplies and essential hygiene products will be collected and donated to select schools across the Las Vegas community. Our goal is to provide schools with additional resources to help them get through the school year. Donations will be accepted at the Mayweather Boxing + Fitness- Spring Valley, located at: 6565 S. Fort Apache Rd. #165, Las Vegas, NV 89148  through August 31st. Aces fans also have a special opportunity to support this cause by bringing supplies from the list to their home game on August 31st. Fans who bring supplies to the game will will be entered into a raffle to win the following prizes: a signed Floyd Mayweather glove,  complimentary 3-month unlimited membership to Mayweather Boxing + Fitness (applies to new memberships ONLY & must provide proof of Las Vegas residency),  a pair of VIP tickets to an Aces game with VIP suite access, a signed jersey, a signed ball, an Aces swag bag,  or an A’ja Wilson Foundation swag pack.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATIONS:

The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering and promoting the social development and advancement of adults and adolescents. The foundation is singularly focused on community health and wellness, economic growth and development, and impactful youth education.

The A’Ja Wilson Foundation empowers young children who struggle with dyslexia and put an end to bullying. The foundation encourages to help kids reach their highest potential in education with workshops and camps. A’Ja Wilson is a professional  basketball player for the Las Vegas Aces. The player struggled with dyslexia herself in high school which is why the organization and herself want to help and inspire kids across the world.
