WHAT: For the fourth year in a row, The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation will be
joined by Mayweather Promotions’ fighters to provide more than 500 underprivileged youth from grades K-12 with backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming year.
The “Back-2-School Giveaway” is designed to support the Las Vegas community by providing a fun day for families, which will promote literacy, implement interactive activities and games, entertainment, and resources that benefit the entire family. In addition to each student receiving a backpack with grade appropriate supplies and a book, the event will feature free sports physicals and dental examinations, a live DJ, activities provided by the Discover Children’s Museum, art and crafts courtesy of Sababa Water, lunch sponsored by House of Pizza, games such as life-size Jenga and Connect Four, and a chance to win prizes that are perfect to start the school year off! Students in grades 5-12 can also bring their local library card for a chance to win a brand new laptop & printer.
