LAS VEGAS (March 12, 2018) The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (TFMJF) returned to Sunset Park, for an event with an 80’s & 90’s theme! Despite the rain, the 4th Annual Fight-4-Fitness 5K Run, 2K Walk/Run, Kids Fun Run, and Community Day was the biggest event to date with more games, activities, prizes, and sponsors!

This year, The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation united runners and families to help spread health & fitness awareness in a fun and interactive environment. We were joined by the Las Vegas community and Mayweather Promotions’ fighters, 2-time world champion Badou Jack, undefeated contender Andrew Tabiti, Kevin Newman, Cameron Krael, Latondria Jones, Sharif Bogere, Angelo Leo, and two-time world champion Jessie Vargas, along with former world champion Shawn Porter. The festivities kicked off with 2K walk/run, followed by a 5K race and Kids Fun Run (ages 12 & under), and ended with a fun-filled Community Day where runners, track teams, and event sponsors were recognized.
The event was emcee’d by fight announcer, Ralph Velez with music provided by DJ J-Krazy keeping the crowd entertained throughout the day! Children all ages were entertained with the life-sized games, hackey-sack races with the fighters, football toss, food provided by GoldBox food truck, and families were rewarded with raffled cash prizes, and gifts from our event sponsors.
“We saw fighters and friends come together to interact with the kids through physical activities that put endless smiles on their faces, while having fun! That’s what Fight-4-Fitness is all about, coming together for a bigger cause and having fun, says Nicole Craig, President of The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation. It is our duty to help spread the message of Fight-4-Fitness, which helps to extend health and fitness awareness to families in a fun interactive way.”

This year, three local Las Vegas track clubs were awarded with a cash prize donation for bringing in the most registrants to Fight-4-Fitness: The Gators, Las Vegas Stealth, and Blazin’ Onez. The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation also donated a percentage of net event proceeds to the YMCA of Southern Nevada Y Kids program, which promotes 4 components: play, fitness, strength, and nutrition to the youth.
