COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Ishe “Sugar Shay” Smith Day:
Ishe Smith was honored by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department on February 23, 2013 for being the first Las Vegas born World Boxing Champion. Regina Coward-Holman, from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and President of the Black Police Association presented the IBF Champion with the proclamation on behalf of the city naming February 23 “Ishe ‘Sugar Shay’ Smith Day.”
To celebrate Ishe “Sugar Shay” Smith day on February 23, 2015, we headed into the community to give back.
- We visited the local Salvation Army to distribute a hot brunch meal courtesy of Babystacks. The meal consisted of: pancakes, turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and juice.
It was our honor to serve the Las Vegas community.

Team building for a good cause:
On April 18th, The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation team volunteered at the Three Square “Sort-a-Thon” along with others to put together produce bags for senior citizens in need. During the “Sort-a-Thon” a total of 1500 bags that included apples and oranges were assembled. This enjoyable experience allowed for the team to come together and make a difference in the lives of others.
Three Square’s Food Bank Program consists of non-perishable products that are sorted in their warehouse. From there the items are put on the shelves of organizations or agency stores for distribution to community members. There’s also a program that provides nutritional support to schools and after-school programs by distributing healthy meals to children. The Senior Share Program provides groceries to senior citizens with chronic diseases.
Fight 4 Fitness:
The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation hosted its inaugural Fight 4 Fitness Race and Community Day on Sunday April 19th at Sunset Park in Las Vegas, NV. The mission of Fight 4 Fitness is to form community alliances where awareness and empowerment serve as the nucleus for an improved quality of life. With over 300 registrants for the first of many Fight 4 Fitness events, we would conclude that it was a success! We kicked the morning off with a 5k run/2k walk and Kids Fun Run to promote the possibilities of change that can enhance one’s own life and the lives of those around them through exercise. Our participants were applauded for their efforts in joining the “fight” at an awards ceremony following the run. We then celebrated our strive for good health at The Community Day event which included good food, great music, fun games, raffled prizes, and knowledgeable health and fitness exhibitors who offered their services and information to enhance everyone’s fitness goals.
We are convinced that our Fight 4 Fitness event is the starting line for many, and the finish line will be a lifestyle that incorporates consistent exercise, healthy eating habits, raised awareness of personal health, and an innate desire to inspire others to join the “fight!”
Together we can defy the odds and begin reversing the health trends that are adversely affecting our quality of life, and prove that together, we are STRONGER.
Fight 4 Fitness was supported by: Mayweather Promotions, The Money Team, Guy Jam Capital, AEG Merchandise, Eagle Promotions, Stacks and Yolks, Screaming Images, Soirees, Vegas Luxury VIP, Real Water, and many community members who volunteered their time to plan and work the event. It would not have been possible without our supporters lending a helping hand. We would like to extend our gratitude for their belief in what this event stands for and joining us to help bring the Las Vegas community together. To further our commitment to serve the Las Vegas community, the event’s net proceeds were donated to the Clark County School District for school fitness equipment and applicable programs/education.
Community Program Support:
A total of 50 tickets (value: $175,000) for the May 2nd Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight were donated to the Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) to raise funds for their on-going and special programs. The contribution enabled Nevada Ballet Theatre to host a 4-week summer Discovery Dance Camp free to 100 underprivileged students. This summer camp will allow students to learn more about the art of dance through instruction and education including: history, movement, and performance opportunities. Each year over 10,000 at-risk students are reached through programs in Clark County public schools. Free dance classes, performances, and scholarships to train at NBT’s affiliated academy in Summerlin, are provided through their initiative. TFMJF looks forward to continued support of NBT!
